The story begins when Nico arrives at the airport to visit his aunt who lives in Germany. Nico does not understand German at all, so he learns German by listening through his headset, then a little girl named Emma says that Nico's bag is good. Not long after that, his aunt, Lisa came and chatted with them.
Outside, the girl is playing blowing water balls, but because she can't, Nico helps demonstrate her how to blow it. During the demonstration another man with a bag was waiting for a taxi. The man was on the phone so he didn't pay much attention when the taxi driver loaded the goods into the car. This man's direction is towards the city center to the Königshof Hotel.

When Lisa was about to drive her car she saw Nico who was confused, then he walked over and asked is everything okay. It turned out that Nico had a problem. He told her that his bag
was accidentally carried away by a taxi and all his belongings were in the bag such as his aunt's address, cellphone, and his passport. Lisa felt sorry for the problem Nico was facing and he offered Nico a ride to help find his bag.
In the middle of the trip when Lisa was filling gas for her car, Nico saw a taxi that he thought had brought his lost bag and he rushed to stop the taxi, it turned out that when he checked it, there was nothing in the taxi, then Lisa came over and explained about the problem that Nico faced and that his bag was lost to the taxi driver.

When about to go home, one of Lisa's friends, Max, greeted and Lisa introduced Nico to Max and told him about the problem Nico was facing. Then Max suggested to report to the police so that the problem could be quickly resolved. After that they escorting Emma to her friend's birthday party. Nico waited in the car while listening to the radio. It turned out that on a radio broadcast a man found a bag which finally changed his life. Nico understand part of the story and trying to contact the radio to find his bag too. But because of language barrier, he fails to explain about his condition. It turned out that what Nico thought was the answer to losing his bag was wrong.

Lisa rushed to contact her father who works as a police officer and tell him about the problems that were being faced by Nico. Lisa and Nico arrive at the police station and Nico explains that his aunt owns a bicycle shop.
Coming home from the police station, Lisa throws a party with her friends and invites Nico to join the party. Then Lisa introduces Nico to her friends and they enjoy the party.
The next day, Lisa informs Nico that something is wrong with their apartment, and they plan to rent out Nawin's room so Nico has to find another place to live for a while.

The prospective first tenant (Marvin) was not accepted because he was too dirty, the second prospective tenant (Wolf) was rejected because he had a strange temper and the last prospective tenant was also not accepted because of her germaphobia. Therefore, they are stressed because they do not find suitable tenants.
The next day Nico gets an assignment from Lisa to look after Emma for her daily activities because Lisa works to replace her sick colleague. It turns out that Nico's task is not in accordance with Lisa's expectations. After Lisa's work, Nico visits the cafe where Max works to ask for help to find a place to live for him. From here Nico meets a grandmother named Inge and she offers Nico a room in his residence. Finally Nico agreed to the offer and stayed with Inge.
One day when Lisa's father came and told her that Yara's bicycle shop had met, only her bag had not. Lisa and Nico rush to the shop. Arriving at the location where the shop is closed, they finally go to Inge's house and Nico to stay there. The next day when Nico helps at Max's cafe, he accidentally sees a photo of his aunt on display and it turns out that Max knows her too. He also knows where Yara works, then they go to the shop where Yara works and meet Tarek, one of Max’s friend, who also knew Yara. Only he said that Yara had long left her bicycle shop for some business in Zurich. From the bike shop Inge and Nico go shopping.

The story about Nico's bag, after the man who carried his bag out from the taxi, he left Nico's bag on the road. After the man on the phone left, Nico's bag was left on the street and found by 2 homeless people. They decided to take the item in the bag but their bag stayed on the road. While walking, one of Lisa's friends, Selma, accidentally found Nico's bag by the side of the road and then contacted Lisa that she had found it. So Selma asked Nico to meet her in front of Yara's shop to give him his bag.
One day Nico returned to Yara's shop, and there was already Lisa's father and asked Tarek what happened. He tells what happened before 2 weeks Yara disappeared. Yara told him to go to Zurich but what strange is that Nico's family was not in Zurich, only in Sevilia.

A few days later, Max and his friends invited Nico to play ball together, but while playing football there was an unexpected incident that Nico broke his leg while playing, so they rushed to take Nico to the hospital.

Not long after Nico recovered from his fracture he visited the shop where Yara worked and at the same time Yara had returned from Zurich, finally Nico met his aunt, Yara.

REVIEW FILM

Nicos Weg — especially the A1 version — is made for beginners. Basically this movie tells us about Nico's lost bag and his journey to find it. The movie also tells us about the struggle being foreigner in a new environment, the people he meets, and so on and so forth.
Nicos Weg has a sense of hilarious whimsy throughout the movie. I enjoy this almost-2 hours long-movie because the language that are spoken is easy to grasp as a beginner myself even though I encounter some of new words I didn't know before. I also love how the writer try to develop this story into a fun one, I laugh most of time even though I do not understand most of their conversation.
Some things that disturbs me while watching this movie such as why Nico is so fast in learning German and picking up new words let alone putting them into coherent sentences, he must be a fast learner huh? Also Is that normal in Germany to help stranger the way Lisa does? Or Inge does? If I happened to lost my bag does Germanian people will help me the way they help Nico in this movie? Well again, this just a movie, don’t take it seriously but I believe some culture that shows in this movie must be based by their reality, not all of them but most of them will.
Overall, I love Nicos Weg. As a learner myself, having to watch this movie at a weekday's night made my day, plus we could, uh, get off of our struggle of assignments at school. I'm hoping to watch other German films. Education or entertainment wise.
There are A1, A2 and B1 courses following Nico’s adventures in Germany. Each unit consists of a short 1-2 minute video of the story followed by heaps of exercises. The exercises are pretty comprehensive, covering grammar, vocabulary, listening, reading, and writing.
Once you’ve finished a level you can go to Youtube and watch the whole film. Here are the links to the A1, A2 and B1 movies. They’re worth watching even if you don’t want to do the course. I'll give this movie 8/10! that's is a pretty big number!!!
I think that's all from me,i hope this useful for all of us! Thank you for your attention! Have a great day! Don't give up...
